On May 14, at 4:00 PM the future prime minister Ben Gurion banged his gavel on the table and read the independence statement of Israel. Although Britain was ending its rule just six hours later on May 15, 1948, at 00:00, I prefer the May 14, 1948, 4:00 PM chart (Tel Aviv). This is also the chart in Astro Data Bank with an A rating.

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023 at 6:35 A.M. I have used Israel’s first capital Tel Aviv for the calculation of the attack chart and its affect on the country (though the first rockets were fired on Ashkelon which is about 57 miles from Tel Aviv and a chart for the first strike does not change the planet placements in synastry).

If you look at the 4:00 PM chart in synastry with the attack chart, the first thing I noticed was the Hamas attack Uranus at 22 degrees Taurus. The attack Uranus is conjunct Israel’s Sun in its eighth house of, among other things, mortality rates, finances, as well as hidden obstacles. The attack on Israel had a very high mortality rate, as well as kidnaping/hostage taking, and it appears that it will be prolonged and costly. It was unexpected and with Uranus/Sun in Taurus, very down to earth and chaotic. Attack Uranus is also opposite Israel’s Chiron in the first house which is the citizens of Israel. There is an obvious need of healing at this time and great concern for those taken hostage or killed.

This Sun/Uranus conjunction is ruled by Venus and the attack Venus sits in Israel’s eleventh house suggesting economic trouble as well. The attack Venus is conjunct Israel’s Mars suggesting conflict, and both in Leo so things will be very public and publicized. I would look at Venus/Mars a bit more favorably if it were not for the Uranus/Sun conjunction.

Again, attack Uranus is opposite Israel’s Chiron in the first house (the citizens of a country). Chiron is in Scorpio ruled by Israel’s Mars in the eleventh house and also ruled by Pluto. The attack Pluto sits in Israel’s fourth house and Israel’s Pluto is in its tenth house. The tenth house is the head of state and this suggests to me that there may be some hard fought reform and that a new head of state may be coming in large part due to this attack. There has been a lot of criticism of the complete failure of intelligence on the part of the government. Also the attack Midheaven sits in Israel’s tenth house in Cancer ruled by Israel’s Moon in the tenth house. This also suggests a change in the head of state.

The attack Sun is in Israel’s twelfth house of hidden enemies and institutions. Obviously, the plan of this attack was well hidden and with Mercury there, the attack was well thought out. With Israel’s chart’s Neptune in this house in Libra, I wonder why there was not a little more insight.

The attack Ascendant, South Node and Mars sit in Israel’s first house - the people. There appears to have been feelings of a personal vendetta coming from Hamas’ core being and a very fiery situation. All of this is in Libra, suggesting an unjustifiable feeling of justification to balance the scales on the part of Hamas. Libra ruled by Venus and attack Venus in the eleventh house is conjunct Israel’s Mars - emphasizing this very explosive and very public situation.
